On Tuesday morning, UFC president Dana White took to social websites to announce that UFC 264 Live will take place at the T-Mobile Arena"at total capacity," and tickets will go on sale this week.
White also said that the event, that takes place July 10, will officially be headlined from the highly expected trilogy fight between Dustin Poirier along with Conor McGregor. While the 2 fighters were at odds lately over a guaranteed donation from McGregor to Poirier's charity The fantastic Fight Foundation--and with McGregor stating earlier this week that the fight was off--it seems as if the lightweight bout, at least for now, will go on as scheduled.
The summertime blockbuster event is also scheduled to add a critical 170-pound matchup between former title challengers Gilber Burns and Stephen Thompson, also a flyweight bout between Jennifer Maia and Jessica Eye, along with also a heavyweight tilt between Tai Tuivasa along with Greg Hardy.
This is the next PPV event of the year that's been announced with a full house of fans. UFC 261, which will take place April 24, will happen in the sold out VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.. White stated recently that the card offered in minutes and broke the gate record for the building before the tournament triple header headlined from the rematch between Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal to the welterweight title.
